Sunny San Diego turns spooky for Halloween 2017. Here's where to go for thrills, chills, tricks, and treats.
Halloween lasts all month at the theme parks. Head to the SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular and enjoy Halloween-themed shows and trick-or-treating along with the park's animals and rides. At Legoland, Brick-or-Treat Party Nights include a haunted castle and dance parties. Belmont Park turns into Boomont Park all October, with trick or treating, costume contests, and zombie laser tag.
It's the ship that's haunted at the San Diego Maritime's Star of India. Visit on 10/29 for ghost stories. At the Balboa Park Halloween Family Day on 10/28, there are crafts, costumes, and a pumpkin drop. Bigger kids and grownups can brave the Balboa Park Haunted Trail throughout the month.
Spend the day in a pumpkin patch at Bates Nut Farm. Enjoy entertainment while you pick your perfect pumpkin.
Zombies come out after dark; see if you can escape them on the San Diego Zombie Crawl 10/27 & 10/28. You'll visit as many as 25 venues in the Gaslamp Quarter, San Diego's nightlife hub. The Gaslamp will also host a Monster Bash on 10/29, with five stages over eight blocks, the Haunted Hotel taking reservations all month, and other events. In San Diego's Hillcrest neighborhood, it's a Nightmare on Normal Street 10/28 with music, food, costume competitions, and more.
