Baseball isn't just an American pastime; it's played all over the world. Teams from all over compete in the World Baseball Classic, and second round play is at Petco Park in San Diego March 14-19.
There'll be 6 games played here in San Diego. The team lineup will depend on the outcome of first round play, but we'll potentially host teams from the US, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Columbia, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Italy, and Venezuela.
Real baseball fanatics will want to buy the 6-game package. Don't worry; if the series needs a tie-breaker 7th game, your admission is included. This package offers the best prices and best seats.
You can also buy a 3-game package or tickets to individual games. If you opt for the 3-game Fan Festival Pack, you'll get 3 days of fun events in addition to the ball games, with pre-game parties on March 16 and March 17, and a kids' fest on March 18, when the game closes with a laser show. There's also a Classic Value Pack that adds hot dogs and drinks to your game-day outing.
When it's not home to the World Baseball Classic, the Petco Park venue is the home stadium for the San Diego Padres. You can enjoy a tour of the stadium for a behind-the-scenes look that takes you to the press box and dugout.
After enjoying the game and stadium, head back to Days Inn San DIego Hotel Circle Near SeaWorld to end the day with a fun splash in the pool!
