San Diego’s favorite music festival had to take a break in 2021, but this year will see its triumphant return. Petco Park will once again play host to the festival, which always features loads of amazing local food, an energetic atmosphere, and more music than you can shake a (drum)stick at. The dates, schedule and lineup are still being finalized for this year, but KAABOO is one festival that never disappoints — so you won’t want to miss it.

Aficionados of micro, small-batch and craft brews can sample some of the city’s best beers at this festival, as well as a deep selection of other regional brews, and even international varieties. Live music, some of the city’s most popular food trucks and plenty of surprises will also keep things lively.

The world’s biggest all-ages convention of comics culture returns to the San Diego Convention Center in summer of 2022 in July. The reputation of Comic-Con precedes it for fans of pop culture. For the uninitiated, Comic-Con is a massive event that draws more than 135,000 attendees every year, all of whom are there to celebrate the impact that all things superhero, sci-fi, fantasy, and magic have had on our collective consciousness. Elaborate costumes, board-game tournaments, video games, panel discussions, writers, artists, meet-and-greets, and (of course) comics galore will greet visitors at the con.

Attendees will enjoy music, food, arts and crafts vendors, local craft beer tastings, and more. This year’s fair will host more than 100 musical acts over seven stages, so there’s certain to be something for everyone of all ages. Still, the varied terrain, endless sunshine, and rich soil of areas like San Pasqual Valley, Rancho Bernardo, and nearby Julian have ideal conditions for vineyard growth, and the wineries of these areas are creating some impressive bottles worth checking out. San Diego celebrates this amazing wine culture at the San Diego Bay Wine + Food Festival, which makes a grand return this year. Expect great food, entertainment, and vintage bottles aplenty.
