From June 1 to July 4, 2018, the San Diego County Fair returns to delight crowds with live entertainment, all-ages attractions, and more. Held every summer at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, California, this perennial favorite is the largest county fair in the United States with over 1.6 million visitors each year.
The entertainment lineup this year features countless popular music and comedy acts, including Jim Gaffigan, Little Big Town, Jeff Ross, The Cult, and many more. Meanwhile, children will delight in family-friendly magic shows and kid-folk musicians. There will also be live dancing, including performances by Makani Kai Polynesian Dance Troupe and the Resplandor de Mexico Folklorico Dance Company, among others.
Beyond the stage acts, the San Diego County Fair hosts various interactive exhibitions. These include a Student Showcase, Fiesta Village, a Gems & Minerals Show, and the World of Horses, to name just a few. Of course, the fair also features plenty of classic carnival rides (think: a Ferris wheel, merry-go-round, and more) and delicious food vendors. This year in particular, visitors can enjoy “how sweet it is” with an abundance of tempting treats around every corner.
There will also be festivals and special events throughout the month, from The Toast of the Coast Wine Festival to the San Diego International Beer Festival.
