Inflatable World (1.8 miles from the hotel)
30,000-square-foot “pop-up” park Inflatable World is once again open to all who’d like to enjoy the air-filled fun at this popular Mission Valley attraction. San Diego’s newest amusement park features giant inflatable bounce houses, exhibits, a toddler zone, climbing walls, and lots of fun for kids of all ages. More information is available at Inflatable World’s website. So head out, jump in, and start catching some air!
Balboa Park (2.7 miles away)
Balboa Park may not be a traditional theme park, but it’s nonetheless a can’t-miss destination that draws millions of visitors per year. This is largely thanks to its abundant green space, exceptional restaurants, collection of public art, and family of world-class museums that call the park home. If you plan to visit, you’ll want to stay on top of the tiered reopening schedule adopted by the facilities within the park. Some museums and other features will be opening on a staggered timetable, so stop by Balboa Park’s Updates Page for the latest and best information.
San Diego Zoo (3 miles away)
The San Diego Zoo is one of the most popular destinations not just in the state, but on the West Coast — and for good reason. The zoo is home to thousands of animals, all housed in spectacular habitats that mimic their homes in the wild. It’s an absolutely fantastic educational experience and a great day out in that famous SoCal sunshine. As of June 15, San Diego Zoo is open to all visitors, without restriction. If you have any additional questions, please check the San Diego Zoo Health & Safety information page.
SeaWorld San Diego (5 miles away)
SeaWorld has delighted generations of visitors with its entertaining and educational up-close marine-life exhibits of playful seals, orcas, dolphins, and more. Expect incredible exhibitions of all kinds when you make a day of this fantastic park. As of the lifting of statewide COVID-19 restrictions, SeaWorld San Diego is open with no restrictions. SeaWorld still recommends that non-vaccinated persons wear masks and practice safe social distancing. SeaWorld San Diego’s Health & Safety page includes the most up-to-date information.
Belmont Park (5.7 miles away)
Families, thrillseekers, and anyone looking for a fun day out will find much to love at Belmont Park. This timeless boardwalk-style waterfront rides-and-games destination is once again open for business. Belmont Park is located in picturesque Mission Beach and features favorite attractions like the Giant Dipper roller coaster, mini-golf, rock climbing, classic oceanside dining, and more. Check the Belmont Park information page for more info.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park (29 miles away)
This sister park to the San Diego Zoo is located just outside of Escondido, about a half hour north of us at Days Inn. This safari-like experience offers visitors a chance to observe animals in a wide-open space that closely mimics their natural habitat. The Safari Park is open and welcoming guests, provided the blanket safety policies that also cover the zoo are followed. Learn more about the park and its policies at the Safari Park’s Safety Information Page.
LEGOLand California (32 miles away)
LEGOLand California, in neighboring Carlsbad, is a nearby favorite that’s not to be missed. Thrill rides, live shows, and larger-than-life displays of brick-based art have delighted families here for more than two decades. As of June 15, LEGOLand is open to all visitors — including out-of-state residents — with no restrictions. However, advance reservations are still required for admission. More information is available at LEGOLand’s “Safe to Play” information page.
