San Diego hosts the largest and most well-known Comic Convention annually. It’s not just for fans of comic series and cosplayers—try blockbuster movie stars and Emmy-winning television actors, plus musical performances and so much more!
While the historic event certainly offers a mecca to the comic book fanatic, it has recently become a popular forum for movie franchises, television series, and other mediums garnering a significant following to release exclusive previews of upcoming content. The convention usually features film cast panels of beloved franchises such as Star Wars and the Marvel series, as well as an exhibition hall with booths selling memorabilia and merchandise. Whatever you’re a diehard fan of, Comic-Con has it.
Spanning four days at the end of July, Comic-Con is a whirlwind of a weekend. With events, panels, and autograph sessions jam packed back to back, it’s best to take a targeted approach if you want to get the most out of the experience. While the schedule has yet to be released, you can expect mornings and early afternoons filled with exhibition events and demonstrations, followed by blockbuster movie cast panels and celeb-spotting excitement happening later in the day.
